Made-to-Measure Terrace Enclosures on the Costa Blanca

Enclosing your terrace gives you an extra room for the cold, windy months. We do it with glass curtains, with aluminium and glass or with vertical awnings, depending on how much you want to insulate and how much of the view you want to keep. We manufacture in Elche and install terrace enclosures along the Costa Blanca, from Denia, Jávea and Moraira to Calpe, Altea and Benidorm, across Alicante province and in the Murcia region.

Glass curtains or aluminium

Glass curtains win on the view: there are no vertical profiles and, when they are open, the terrace looks exactly as it did before. Aluminium wins on insulation, against both temperature and noise, and the terrace behaves more like an indoor room. On the seafront with strong wind, or on an exposed penthouse, aluminium usually pays off.

If you are looking for a veranda

Many people call a terrace with a roof and glass walls a veranda. We build it by combining a roof (bioclimatic, sandwich panel, or polycarbonate with a veranda awning underneath) with glass curtains or aluminium on the sides.

Community approval and permits

Enclosing a terrace changes the façade, and Spain's Horizontal Property Act requires the agreement of the community of owners. Depending on the town, you may also need a permit or to notify the town hall. We point you in the right direction during the home visit so there are no surprises later.

What affects the price

The length and height of the opening, the system, the type of glass, whether a roof is needed and whether the terrace has corners or curves. After measuring, we give you a fixed price in writing.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to enclose a terrace?

It depends on the length, the height, the system and whether a roof is needed. We do not quote figures without measuring; after the home visit you receive a detailed quote.

Do I need permission to enclose my terrace in Spain?

Almost always from the community of owners, because it changes the façade. Depending on the town hall, you may also need a permit or prior notification.

Which insulates better, glass curtains or aluminium?

Aluminium. Glass curtains keep out wind and rain and leave the view clear.

Can a terrace without a roof be enclosed?

It needs covering first, with a pergola or a fixed roof, and then the sides are closed.

Do you enclose porches and penthouse terraces?

Yes: porches, penthouses, ground floor terraces and garden areas.

What if I only want it closed in winter?

Vertical awnings with a clear window come down when you need them and go up in summer.

Do you make enclosures for restaurants?

Yes, with systems adapted to each town's terrace bylaw.
