Step 01
Visit and measurements
We come to your home or business with no obligation. We take measurements and look at where the sun falls and how the wind hits in your area.
Pergorain Waterproof Retractable Pergola
The Pergorain is a pergola with a waterproof fabric roof that extends and retracts. Extended, the rain runs to the sides and down through the posts; retracted, it leaves the sky clear. It is modular, and several units can be joined to cover large terraces, at home or at a restaurant.
How it works
A sturdy frame carries a coated fabric that runs out along guide rails. When it is extended, the fabric channels the rain to the sides, and from there it drains down inside the posts.
Extras
It takes infrared heaters, horizontal and perimeter LED lighting, speakers and a home automation system to open it, close it or programme it from your phone.
For restaurants and bars
It is especially suited to bars and restaurants. With side closures it turns the terrace into a dining area you can use in winter. More in terrace enclosures for bars and restaurants.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is the Pergorain completely waterproof?
The fabric is waterproof, and the rain drains away through the sides and the posts. In normal rain the area underneath stays dry.
How is it different from a bioclimatic pergola?
The Pergorain has a fabric roof that retracts fully and lets you see the sky. A bioclimatic pergola has aluminium louvres that turn but never disappear.
What should I do when a storm is forecast?
Retract it, as you would any fabric roof. If you are away from the house for long periods, leave it retracted.
Can several pergolas be joined together?
Yes, the system is modular and covers large areas by joining units.
Can it be heated?
Yes, with infrared heaters, as well as LED lighting, speakers and home automation.
Does it need a permit?
It depends on the town and its bylaw.
