We come to your home or business with no obligation. We take measurements and look at where the sun falls and how the wind hits in your area.
Vertical awnings for outdoor spaces
Vertical awnings drop straight down in front of the terrace, porch or window. They stop the low afternoon sun that a horizontal awning cannot block, and they give you privacy from the street or the neighbours. We make them to measure, with or without a clear window.
What it is for
In summer, to block the western sun and get shade without losing ventilation. In winter, to close off a porch or terrace and use it as a dining area or sitting room. With a clear PVC window you can see outside even when the awning is down.

The awning curtain is the fabric vertical awning. The window can have a grid pattern so it looks smarter.

For windows and small openings.
Screen blind
In a technical fabric that filters the light and still lets you see out.
Side guides and wind
A loose vertical awning moves in the wind. With windbreak side guides the fabric is held at both edges and copes much better. A hood cover protects the rolled fabric.

Frequently asked questions
Can a vertical awning close off my terrace in winter?
Yes, for seasonal use. It keeps out the wind and light rain and lets you use the terrace as a dining area. If you want a permanent enclosure that keeps out the cold, look at our terrace enclosures.
Can you see through the fabric?
With acrylic fabric, no. With a clear window or a screen fabric, yes.
What is the maximum width?
We recommend up to 3.5 metres per awning. For wider openings we fit several side by side.
Does it stand up to the wind?
With windbreak side guides, much better than a loose one. Even so, it should be raised in strong gusts.
Can it be combined with a horizontal awning?
Yes, it is very common on west-facing façades: the horizontal awning gives shade at midday and the vertical one blocks the low afternoon sun.
Do I need my community of owners' permission?
If it changes how the façade looks, usually yes. Many communities set the colour and model.
