The drop-arm awning tilts out from the window and lets air and some view through. It is the classic on Spanish facades.

On large windows, a vertical awning with screen fabric filters the light and still lets you see out.
Less heat indoors

Do window awnings reduce heat?
Yes. They stop the sun before it hits the glass, so less heat reaches the room than with an indoor blind.
Do I need permission for a window awning?
In a block of flats, yes: the windows are on the shared facade, so the community of owners has to approve it and sometimes sets the colour and model. On a detached house you usually do not need it. We check it with you when we measure the windows.
How much do window awnings cost?
The price depends on the size of each window, the type (drop-arm, vertical or canopy), the fabric and whether it has a motor. We measure every window and give you a written quote with a fixed price, with no obligation.
