A balcony has little room: the awning has to fit between the railing and the balcony above, and the building usually sets the colour. We measure, check what the community of owners allows and make it to the exact width. We can do all of it in English.
Three options for a balcony
Drop-arm awning
The drop-arm awning hangs from the front of the balcony and tilts out, so it shades without needing much depth.
Cassette awning
If the wall takes the brackets and there is height for the box, a cassette awning gives more shade and stays closed and tidy.
Vertical awning
A vertical awning rolls down in front of the railing and keeps out the side sun.
Community of owners
In a block of flats the facade belongs to everyone. Under Spain's Horizontal Property Act the community of owners can set the model and colour, so it is worth asking the administrator before ordering. We adapt the fabric to what they have agreed.

Can I fit an awning on a rented or holiday flat balcony?
Yes, if the owner and the community of owners agree. We fix it to the wall with brackets, so it can be removed later.
Do I need the community's approval for a balcony awning?
Yes, in a block of flats. The balcony is part of the shared facade, so the community of owners has to approve the awning and can set the colour and model. Ask the administrator before ordering and we will make it with the fabric they have agreed.
How much does a balcony awning cost?
It depends on the width of the balcony, the type of awning (drop-arm, cassette or vertical), the fabric and whether you want it motorised. We measure the balcony and give you a fixed price in writing. There is no obligation to go ahead.
